Fitting a new collar. First unscrew and outer green collar. Next separate the pole sections. Now remove the old outer and inner collar. Check for damage to the pole section, if the pole is not worn or damaged, continue with the replacement. Finally fit the new inner collar and with outer collar over the loose smaller section, reassembly the pole and tighten the outer collar.
