Customer Questions: Streamline Filter Kit

Can I replace the internal filtration of the cartridges? No, these cartridges have no replaceable parts. The whole cartridge is replaced.

How often do I need to change the cartridges? Firstly these filters work together with the RO membranes to reduce the TDS reading. Secondly, it is better to change these filters more frequently than the RO membrane. Lastly, therefore it is worth replacing the filters regularly. Depending upon the quality of the inlet water the filters may be used  up to 9000L. Where the quality of the water is poor, it is wise to replace the filters before that.

What is the order of the filters? The water firstly goes through the sediment filter, then through the granulated Carbon. Finally through the Carbon block filter. Changing the filter order will effect the units performance.

Helpful Information: Streamline Filter Kit

Reverse Osmosis systems rely on using a good quality RO membrane. The use of prefilters increases the life of the membrane by removing impurities and Chlorine. Other factors that effect RO performance are inlet water pressure and temperature. In colder weather RO systems tend to be less efficient.

In order to keep your RO system in good condition, protect the unit from frost and freezing temperatures.
