The Shurflo Strainer Filter 255-215 works as a Pre-Filter for Shurflo Pumps. It is a very useful accessory to water fed pole systems and help protect your ShurFlo Pump from the ingress of damaging particles, such as resin beads.

Can I fit this Shurflo strainer on the delivery side of the pump? No, it is designed as an inlet strainer.
Are there any replaceable parts for the Strainer? Not at present, the product is supplied as a complete item.
Can I use the strainer with other pumps? Yes, although often used with the Shurflo 8000 series pump, it can be used with similar performance pumps. However the inlet port or fitting should be 1/2"NPT male.
Will the strainer remove all debris? No, but it does add additional protection for the pump.
How often do I need to clean the strainer? Check the strainer regularly. When it needs cleaning, unscrew the bowl remove the mesh and rinse clean. Then clean the bowl and carefully reassemble.
