Seal BSP Rubber Washer compatible with a number of Brass and Nylon fittings, see below. Significantly distorted seals on the inlet side of pumps can cause performance issues. For example a faulty seal can allow air to be sucked into the hose on the inlet side of the pump. Also, this may cause the pump to fail to prime and effect the pumps pressure and flow rate to suffer. Additionally, a faulty seal on the delivery side of the pump can cause loss of pressure and loss of water.

Size guide:

1/2" BSP Seal 19mm Outside Diameter, 11mm Inside Diameter and 2.5mm Thick

3/4" BSP Seal 24mm Outside Diameter, 16mm Inside Diameter and 3mm Thick

Helpful Information:

Although there are different methods of achieving a watertight joint, these seals are not required when:

• Firstly, the seal is made by a cone connection, similar to that made with the Shurflo pump and the elbow, strait or strainer fittings
• Secondly, where the seal is achieved on the thread, possibly using PTFE tape
• Also, in most cases where a taper fitting is used. (Sometimes a seal can still be used)

Therefore, seals are generally required where one or more fittings do not have a seating cone and where both fittings have a parallel thread, but not a swivel fitting.
