When using these tools are there any special safety precautions I need to take while cleaning gutters using a telescopic extension pole or from a set of ladders? When using any other Aluminium, Steel, Carbon or any other pole, care needs to be taken to avoid overhead power lines and cables. Also, most poles are excellent electrical conductors and contact with an electrical source could result in serious injury or death from electrocution. Also do not use extension poles in an electrical storm, as being struck by lightning can likewise cause series injury or death.
